Client Rights

  • ​You have the right to be treated with respect as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
  • You have the right to be treated well.
  • You have the right to assessed for our services.
  • You have the right to know what services are available for you.
  • You have the right to make decisions about the service you received.
  • You have the right to choose another service.
  • You have the right to be involved in any changes to your services.
  • You have the right to a high quality service.
  • You have the right to refuse service without it impacting future services.
  • You have the right for your information being kept private and confidential.
  • You have the right to be given all relevant information about our service, including rights, complaints and grievance procedures.
  • You have the right to complain about the service you receive.
  • You have the right for any complaint you make to be dealt with speedily and appropriately.
  • You have the right to choose someone to support you when making a complaint.
  • You have the right not to give consent to release any information about you.
  • You have the right to access and information that the AALI has about you.
  • You have the right to be treated with dignity.
